One of the great joys in creating wedding jewelry is blending amazing gems and precious metals into engagement and wedding rings with a story. Sometimes those stories are quite literal and on occasion a simple reference to something that is important to a couple can be extremely powerful and beautiful. This platinum engagement ring for an Oregon couple was one of those rings. In first hearing how the couple met while both teaching internationally and that travel is an important aspect for both of them I began to understand that the importance was less about the specific locations and more about the collective journey, the exploration and the discovery. What evolved in this engagement ring’s design is a simple reference to stepping stones and how even the smallest of moments can be a very important part of their journey together
