On occasion I am invited to create an engagement ring for a good friend and I can’t tell you how happy I am to be a part of such an important time in their life. This past December I was asked by my good friend Tyler to create a surprise engagement ring for his sweetie and boy did we have fun with the process. First off, I found a beautiful 2.68 carat rose cut black diamond as our focal point. From there I fabricated a thick walled white gold horseshoe shaped channel setting for the diamond and included a palladium letter S that would be directly underneath the black diamond that only the couple would know about. Once the channel setting was soldered and constructed onto the band I then bead set 9 white diamonds evenly spaced around the wide gold band which were significant to the couple’s personal story. Finally I channel set that large unique black diamond. The finished ring was stunning and a huge success as she said YES and their story continues.  I love translating these types of stories in the engagement and wedding rings that I create for my couples.

Happy Holidays everyone!
