Fall has always been my favorite time of the year! Early evenings, golden fall colors, the warmth of our wood stove and the quiet wonder of the first snow of the season are a warm welcome after a busy summer. It’s a time to reflect and give thanks.
As we prepare for this year’s Thanksgiving, I am reminded of a special dinner that my wife and I shared with a group of dear friends a few years back. While enjoying that evening’s company, I humbly realized that I had created the wedding and commitment rings for every couple sitting around our table. That realization brought me great joy in knowing that the work that I have loved making for so many years continues to be an important part of these people’s lives long after my hands finished making them.
Many of you receiving this newsletter have been a part of this craft that I love so much, either with my engagement and wedding rings, or something special for an anniversary or birthday.
I want to thank all of you for being a part of my life and for inviting me to create these very special objects for you. It is an invitation that I don’t take lightly.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
My best to you and your families,
Jim
