You would think that it would be an easy task in determining your correct ring size. There are however several factors that may change your size, so one of the things we do to ensure the best fit is to size them multiple times throughout the design process.

It is important to note that fingers fluctuate in size from season to season and even day-to-day depending on the temperature and humidity when you get sized as well as water retention and any physical activities you may have been involved with earlier in the day. We have couples that are married on a warm day, anxious about that big moment and their fingers may swell slightly too. The last thing we want to do is for you to struggle putting the ring on in front of your guests! By sizing it a few times, we can make sure the fit will be perfect from the moment the ring is placed on your finger.

In summary, what you are looking for is that perfect balance so your ring won’t be too snug during the warmer summer months or so loose that it falls off during the winter. This is why I suggest to my clients that we size them 2 or even 3 times throughout the designing stage to give them a much better fit for the years of wearing their wedding rings to come.
